Custodial Services & Parks Maintenance
The Office of Custodial Services and Parks Maintenance is responsible for maintaining more than one million square feet across 53 County facilities. Our in-house team of 36 professionals is dedicated to providing clean, safe, and sanitary environments for everyone who lives, works, and conducts business within Frederick County Government.
What We Do
Our staff provides a wide range of services to ensure facilities are well maintained and welcoming:
General Cleaning: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping down furniture and surfaces
Restroom Care: deep cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking supplies
Waste Management: trash removal, recycling collection, and proper disposal
Equipment Use: operation of vacuums, floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, and burnishers
Deep Cleaning Projects: carpet extraction, tile floor stripping and waxing, exterior window cleaning, and hard-surface scrubbing
Health & Safety Compliance: safe handling of cleaning agents and adherence to proper cleaning procedures
This work ensures County facilities remain safe, functional, and accessible for staff and the public alike.
