General Grant Information

Applications are available beginning June 2, 2025, and must be submitted by 11:59PM August 15, 2025.  

Interested organizations should have filled out the project questionnaire to determine if their project qualifies for Community Grant funding. Upon review, Frederick County Parks and Recreation staff will reach out with further instructions. 

Please utilize the below documents to familiarize yourself with the grant requirements. Your application is provided to the Frederick County Parks and Recreation Commission for review, evaluation and scoring. Failure to include required forms and complete information will result in a lower score.

Affirmation Form:

This form serves as a substitute if the President of an organization is not available to submit the online application/sign the application. The President must sign off on the application itself, or this form should be signed and uploaded to the application. Click the icon to view the Community Grant Affirmation Form.  


Funding Summary Form:

This excel form is used to enter in the project budget information. Project costs should consist of 2 quotes with a cost of more than 1,000 along with any other project expenses. This will also detail the In-Kind, organizations committed funding or other funding used for this project. Click the icon to view the Funding Summary Form.  


General Grant Timeline:

The FCPRC will review applications during August and September. The applicant may be requested to send a representative to review their project with the FCPRC. After reviews are completed the evaluations and scores will be determined. It is estimated organizations will be notified in October with the preliminary decisions.  Final grant awards are anticipated to be issued in November. Project Closeout Form:

The project and form must be completed, and all required documents submitted by June 30th of the second fiscal year following the award. Required documents include the Record of Expenditures, Volunteer Time and Donated Materials form, invoices, receipts, and project images. Click the icon to view the Community Grant Closeout Form.
