Program Description
The field trip will cover the life cycles of plants, amphibians, mammals, birds, with a focus on insects found in our native habitats. We will discuss how animals and plants use natural resources and can change their environment. Instruction will include discussions, songs, observation of live animals, and hands-on group activities.
Three Rotations
- Insect life cycles and the role of host plants
- Reptile and Amphibian life cycles and the importance of habitat
- Hike - Plant and Bird life cycle discussion and observation
Program Details
- Program length: 90-120 minutes
- Minimum: 10 students
- Maximum: 3 classes, or 100 students, per program time slot
- Chaperones required: 1 chaperone per 15 students
- Cost: $5/person
