FitnessFlex Classes Cancelled by Parks & Recreation

Frederick County Parks & Recreation may cancel a program for any reasonable cause. Every effort will be made to reschedule classes that are canceled by Parks & Recreation. You may view your personal schedule of registered classes within your ActiveNet account. 

Facility Closures and Program Cancellation Procedures


FitnessFlex Classes Missed by Customers

Refunds will not be granted for classes, or rescheduled classes, that are missed due to conflicts with customer’s personal schedules.

5+ Days Prior to Class Date


Refund/cancellation requests received 5 calendar days in advance of a class start date will be honored in full, less deposits or registration fees (customer may choose):

All requests must be made in writing to parksandrecreation@frederickcountymd.gov

Refund / Withdraw

Credit full program amount to customer account, minus 20% administrative fee per refund transaction. 

Credit Account

Credit full program amount to customer account. Credits on account do not expire and can be used towards any future household registration.

Transfer to another FlexReg program

If there is a difference in registration fee:

Take payment for additional amount due OR 

Refund difference, minus 20% administrative fee per refund transaction.

3 to 5 Days Prior to Class Date


Refund/cancellation requests received after the 5 days in advance but prior to the 48 hour start date will be honored in the following manner (customer may choose):

All requests must be made in writing to parksandrecreation@frederickcountymd.gov

Credit Account

Credit 50% of full program amount to customer account. Credits on account do not expire and can be used towards any future household registration.

Transfer to another FlexReg eligible program

If there is a difference in registration fee:

Take payment for additional amount due OR

Refund difference, minus 20% administrative fee per refund transaction.

Less than 48 Hours Prior to Class


If a cancellation notice or credit request is not received prior to 48 hours to the start of the class, the customer is responsible for the full price of the program.

All request for modifications to your FitnessFlex class schedule must be made in writing via email to parksandrecreation@frederickcountymd.gov prior to the start of the program as described in full above.
