Welcome to Frederick County’s “Docs in the Park” Quest and the Wegmans Passport to Family Wellness. This booklet provides an opportunity to experience nature, the outdoors and be active with your friends and family while discovering some of the best parks and trails in Frederick County. This passport gives a description of seventeen (17) trails and parks located in Frederick County, Maryland.
Just take your Wegmans Passport with you and record your progress by using a pencil or crayon to make a rubbing of the trail marker (designated by a symbol on each map) located along each trail. Trail markers are mounted on posts and are similar to the one illustrated on the back cover. If you are unable to maneuver the trail, take three (3) pictures around the park, print them, and attach to the corresponding trail map in the booklet. See how many rubbings you can collect and look for the prizes that await you!
Note:Wegmans Passport to Family Wellness Trails are designed to be off the beaten path and to explore different parts of the parks. Please beware that you may walk in grassy areas that are not marked or paved.
If you walk six (6) of the trails listed in this Passport, go to 355 Montevue Ln. Suite 100, Frederick, MD 21702 and receive a gift.
All questers who complete eleven (11) trails will receive a Wegmans coupon redeemable for a free Wegmans product and receive a free gift from Frederick County Parks and Recreation.
Questers who complete all seventeen (17) trails will be entered into a raffle for a $100 Wegmans Gift Card or a Gift Certificate for a Fitness or Nutritional program from Frederick County Parks and Recreation
Prizes can be picked up at the Frederick County Division of Parks and Recreation’s main office Monday – Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. The main office is also the last trail in the Passport booklet.
